The Story of Billy Milligan

The challenge was to create a cohesive newspaper by developing Typographic Voice and Visual Narrative for a chosen persona, whether real or fictional. For my project, I selected William Stanley Milligan (February 14, 1955 – December 12, 2014), who became the inspiration for numerous movies due to his unique story. He was the first person diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder to employ such a defense.

To delve into his intricate psychological world, I conducted extensive research, including psychology articles and firsthand interviews. I selected key words and explored type forms to deconstruct and represent his psychological realm.

1. Dissociative

2. Crowded

3. Childhood

4. manipulator
